Kathmandu, July 30: Police have found that Bechan Jha, an accused in the fake Bhutanese refugee case, has citizenship of both Nepal and India. During the investigation conducted by the District Police Range, Kathmandu, it was found that Jha had obtained citizenship from the District Administration Office, Parsa and also obtained an Aadhaar card from Madhubani in Bihar state of India. According to the details mentioned in Jha's citizenship, it is seen that he took Nepali citizenship on the basis of birth from Birgunj through a mobile team on Chaitra 14, 2063 BS. His birthplace has been mentioned as Birgunj of Parsa. However, based on the personal details, the voter service portal of the Election Commission of India shows that he was a voter in Babubahri-34 constituency in Madhubani district of Bihar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, reports Online Khabar.
