No cut-and-dried solution to the nearly four-month-long crisis of leadership in the ruling Nepali Congress party appears in sight.

That is despite the constitution by party president Krishna Parasd Bhattarai of a three-member committee to assist him in his appointed task of setting the Congress House in order and party supremo Ganesh Man Singh’s much-ballyhooed week-long whistle-stop speaking tour of Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Ilam, Dhankuta and Dharan where he has been consistently hammering away at two basic points the prime minister must go and all 75 district units of the party have to be reorganized.
