Kathmandu, July 23: Cardamom, tea, ginger and amriso worth Rs 15.33 billion have been exported to India from the Kakarvitta Customs in Eastern Nepal during the fiscal year 2023/24. During this period, agricultural products worth Rs 18.95 billion have been exported to India via Kakarvitta.

In the financial year 2023/34, organic tea worth Rs 6.98 billion was exported to India from the Kakarvitta border pass, according to Chandreshwar Yadav in the Kakarvitta Customs Office. A total of 11,648 metric tonnes of tea was exported.

In the financial year 2023/24, a total of 4,510 metric tonnes of cardamom worth Rs 6.52 billion was exported to India. According to Yadav, during this period, Amriso worth Rs 1.24 billion has been exported to India.
