Kathmandu, July 22: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh said that the constitution could be amended as per the wishes of the people and the needs of the country. Speaking at a program organized by the Shaheed Smriti Pratishthan on Monday, leader Singh said the constitution will be amended by completing the process.

The speciality of this constitution is the provision that the constitution can be amended according to the demand of the people and the need of the hour by completing the process.  The constitution can be amended as per the demands of the people and the needs of the country,” he said, adding, “I think the three-tier government would not have reached this level had it been empowered.”

Stating that the present complex situation has arisen due to the lack of empowerment of the federal, provincial and local governments, DPM Singh said that the priority of the present government was to create employment, create an environment for the operation of industries and bring the economy in the right place.
