Kathmandu, July 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has demonstrated the support of the two-thirds majority in the confidence motion from Parliament today.

Out of a total of 263 MPs present at the House meeting today, PM Oli bagged 188 votes, which is above the two-thirds majority in Parliament.

A total of 74 votes were cast against PM Oli in Parliament. One MP remained indifferent.

Oli received a vote of confidence from the Nepali Congress, UML, Janata Samajwadi Party, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Janamat Party Loktantrik Samajwadi PartyNagarik Unmukti Party, among others.

Meanwhile, the Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Ekikrit Samajwadi Party, among others, voted against PM Oli.
