Kathmandu, July 20: Out of the loan obligations taken from the Employees Provident Fund and The Citizen Investment Fund for the two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft purchased for international flights, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has paid a total amount of Rs 43,09,55,281 instalments till the month of Ashaar 2081, (mid-July, the last month of the last fiscal year).

Under the present leadership of the Corporation management, it has paid an instalment amount of Rs 5.79 billion till Ashar 2081 (the last month of the previous fiscal year.

The corporation has sent a request letter to the Employees Provident Fund and the Citizen Investment Fund to support the Corporation by waiving the interest, compensation, and rescheduling the instalment period to facilitate the payment of the loan liability by increasing the number of instalments as the business of the Corporation has also been adversely affected due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
