Kathmandu, July 18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the tariff dispute of dedicated and trunk lines will not be resolved by cutting power lines in industries.
In a meeting with industrialists who consumed electricity through dedicated and trunk lines, Prime Minister Oli said that the problems will not be solved by cutting the power lines in the industries. It is said that Prime Minister Oli has also expressed his commitment to connect the lines in the industries that have been cut recently and to solve the problem of tariff disputes.
Recently, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) cut lines of six different industries due to the tariff dispute of dedicated and trunk lines. Expressing dissatisfaction with that, PM Oli promised to solve the dispute by connecting the line soon, as there will be no solution by cutting the line of the industry, an industrialist informed about PM Oli’s opinion.
Prime Minister Oli said that it is a sad aspect that production is stopped when lines are cut in industries and orders for export are cancelled. He has also expressed his commitment to resolving the dedicated and trunk line dispute for the past 6 years.
