Parliament is failing in its role of making laws: Chairman Dahal
Kathmandu, 30 June: National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal has said that Parliament is failing in its role of making laws. Addressing the program organized on the occasion of the 66th Parliament Day at the Parliament Building on Sunday, Dahal claimed that even though the Parliament is the best representative of Nepali citizens, it has failed somewhere in making laws and laws for the citizens.
He said that laws made by parliamentarians will determine where the country will go, and parliamentarians should focus more on lawmaking. He warned that the Parliament ignored to enact laws and laws on time.
Chair Dahal said that the role of parliamentarians to make the parliament effective is to be serious about the promises made to the Nepali citizens, the current political situation of Nepal, how to advance the entire economy of Nepal in the future and the livelihood of the Nepali people. He said it is important for parliamentarians to think in a way that will benefit the country and the people.
