Kathmandu, April 12: Saturday, April 13, is the Nepali New Year 2081 based on the Bikram Era.  People observe this festival with great fanfare. On this occasion, the Newar community in Bhaktapur is observing a week-long Bisket Festival in Thimi.  Hotels and resorts around the Kathmandu Valley have received good bookings as the Kathmanduites observe the festival by visiting different places.  As tomorrow is the New Year, many people are travelling to nearby destinations this afternoon to observe the New Year with family and friends.
