Thamel remains open round-the-clock
Kathmandu, April 11: Kathmandu’s tourist hub Thamel is to remain open round-the-clock from April 13, the first day of the Nepali New Year 2081, the Thamel Tourism Development Board has informed.
Bhabishwar Sharma, chairman of the Board, informed that preparations have been made to keep the Thamal area open from Baisakh 1, the first day of the Nepali New Year.
The Kathmandu District Administration Office is taking responsibility for the necessary security arrangements, he said.
The market related to tourism, including shops, dance bars, discos, and other entertainment centres will remain open 24 hours.
