Kathmandu, April 7: Vice Chancellor Kesharjung Baral has wished to assign a team that could be friendly to him to work in key posts at Tribhuvan University (TU), however, he is facing strong pressure from the student organizations and finally from Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal and UML chair KP Sharma Oli. Baral had recommended Prof Dr Khadka KC to the post of rector and Prof Dr Kedar Rijal to the post of registrar.  However, on Friday, PM Dahal called VC Baral and asked to reconsider the names, according to the Kantipur daily.  Oli has wished to appoint Prof Dr Devraj KC to the post of registrar. KC is the chairman of the progressive teachers’ association.  However, VC Baral has refused to reconsider the names recommended by PM Dahal. VC Baral has decided to tender their resignation if the names recommended by him will not be approved.  People’s News Monitoring Service.
