Leaders sold for commission: Chandra Bhandari
Kathmandu, April 7: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Chandra Bhandari has said that the leaders who were sold for the greed of the commission have exploited the people.
Inaugurating the General Assembly of the Hotel and Restaurant Entrepreneurs Association in Butwal in Rupandehi on Saturday, leader Bhandari said that the leaders who were saying to build the country had taught their sons to carry gold.
He said that the country is being devastated economically due to the 12 leaders of the country. "We thought, they would do the work of the people when they were in power, but they were teaching their children to smuggle gold," he said, adding, "How long will we wait for such leaders to make the country?"
“Choose the one who does not take bribes; then the country will be built in two days," he said.
Bhandari said the private sector has been discouraged as the Gautam Buddha International Airport and Pokhara Airport, built with loans of billions of rupees, didn't come into operation due to short-sighted leadership.
"If we don't operate, why they were built by spending a huge fund?" he asked, adding, "If a five-lane road from Sunwal to Pokhara had been built instead of airports, millions of Indian tourists could have been brought in.
