Kathmandu, April 4: The Maoist Center has decided not to give candidacy in the Ilam 2 by-election with the decision to support UML candidate Suhang Nembang. After the death of UML leader Subhas Nembang, who was elected from the Ilam 2 electoral constituency, one seat of the House of Representatives has remained vacant.  On April 27, the by-election is going to take place for the member of the HoR from Ilam-2. Suhang is the son of the late Subhas Nembang. Besides Nembang, Laxmi Gurung is contesting the election from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Milan Limbu from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Jitbahadur Rai from the Ekikrit Samajwadi Party, Prem Singh Thamsuwhang from the Janamat Party and Dagendrasingh Theging is contesting from the group demanding ethnic identity.
