Editors’ Society building damaged by storm
Kathmandu, April 1: The severe storm on Saturday evening. March 30, caused extensive damage to the "Govinda Biyogi Journalism Study Center" of the Editors’ Society of Nepal (ESON) located at Suirechaur, Shivpuri-7.
The polycarbonate roof and trusses on the top floor of the building were blown up to 200 meters away, and the water tank with a capacity of 2000 litres was completely destroyed.
The damage to the recently constructed building has caused inconvenience to the journalists going for the study there.
According to the Society's general secretary, Shyam Dotel, in the preliminary survey, the storm caused damage worth around one million rupees. He said that the amount of damage may increase after the technical survey.
