Kathmandu, April 1: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, who was on a 9-day official visit to China, returned home this morning. He arrived in Kathmandu from Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. During the visit, DPM Shrestha met with the Chairman of the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Hunin, Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and other senior political leaders.  Similarly, DPM Shrestha also met with Sun Haiyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Communist Party. While in Beijing, Shrestha addressed the pre-investment conference held at the Nepali Embassy. The delegation led by Minister Shrestha also visited the Kailash Mansarovar area in Tibet. Shrestha said that during his meetings with the Chinese leaders, discussions were held on the mutual interests of both countries, economic development, and prosperity.
