Don’t change provincial governments: Shekhar Koirala
Kathmandu, March 28: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has requested the political parties not to change the provincial governments as there will be no permanent coalition under the present system.
Koirala remarked it when political parties are exercising for changing the provincial governments along with a change in the coalition partners of the federal government.
He said that it is not good for the development and the stability of federalism to see the formation and collapse of provincial governments within a year and a half of the election. He said that since there is no permanent alliance in our country, there can not be a single alliance between the federation and the provinces.
Looking at the statistics of the current state assembly, if they try to form a government in the state by the alliance of the union, there will be constitutional and legal complications in some states, which may invite a mid-term election.
