Shaktikhor industrial zone will be addressed in the budget: Prime Minister
Kathmandu, March 25: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the issue of an industrial zone being established in Chitwan's Kalika Municipality will be addressed in the next financial year's budget.
Prime Minister Dahal said this during a meeting with a delegation led by Mayor Vinod Regmi from Kalika municipality of Chitwan along with Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli at Prime Minister's Residence Baluwata today.
Efforts have been made to establish a Shaktikhor industrial zone in Kalika Municipality of Chitwan, but it has not been done. Participating in the meeting, Kalika Mayor Regmi said that Prime Minister Dahal's attention was drawn to issues such as the establishment of the Shaktikhor Industrial Zone as well as the overall development and prosperity of Kalika and inclusive education.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal assured to address the issue of the establishment of industrial zones in the upcoming budget and also instructed Finance Minister Barshman Pun, who participated in the meeting, to release the stalled budget, Mayor Regmi informed.
UML President Oli along with Finance Minister Pun, UML Deputy Secretary General Bishnu Rimal, Central Member Kapil Pokharel, inclusive education expert and activist Dr. Baburam Dhungana, outgoing president of the Deaf Federation, KP Adhikari, and others participated.
