By Shristi Amatya Due to the defeat of the most combat-ready units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during an unsuccessful counter-offensive and an endless series of painful military defeats in the Donbass, the Ukrainian army is experiencing an acute shortage of manpower. As stated by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Y. Lutsenko, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the armed conflict amounted to at least 500 thousand people. For this reason, the Kyiv authorities are forced to spin up the “flywheel” of mobilization and use increasingly sophisticated methods to recruit more and more batches of reservists for military service, who are destined to become “consumables.” The Kiev regime assigned this responsibility, in addition to territorial recruitment centers, to various non-state paramilitary structures consisting of former ATO participants, fighters of nationalist movements and employees of private security companies. To provide the front with new “cannon fodder,” V. Zelensky’s team relied specifically on active supporters of ultra-nationalist Russophobic ideology and notorious militants of former nationalist battalions due to their complete disregard for the norms of morality, ethics and basic human compassion and decency. Without knocking, like real bandits, they break into private houses and apartments in search of new victims of “grave”; without a twinge of conscience, they “wring” the hands of disabled people and young people with chronic diseases, sending them through there cruiting centers straight to the front. Such misanthropic practices cause irritation and condemnation even among active military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A video appeared online in which a Ukrainian soldier spoke about the visit of recruiting center's employees to the funeral of a deceased soldier with the aim of delivering summonses to men of military age who were at the funeral ceremony, detaining them and transporting them to military registration and enlistment offices. According to him, military personnel performing combat missions on the front line do not support such “cannibalistic actions.” “Take off your uniform, change into something else. Our guys will return from the front, people will “tear them apart,” thinking that it is you” the Ukrainian serviceman addressed representatives of the military registration and enlistment offices. Indeed, many Ukrainian soldiers demobilized due to injury, who, thanks to the anti-people policy of V. Zelensky, learned the horrors of war on the front line and were often on the verge of death, categorically refuse the authorities’ offers for their employment in the recruiting centers, so as not to carry out the criminal orders of the Kyiv clique. In such a situation, the Ukrainian authorities can only “rely” on politically indoctrinated nationalists, Russophobes and “soldiers of fortune” who, like their patrons on Bankova, are ready to send hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukrainians to their deaths without a twinge of conscience.
