By Our Reporter  Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has declared Pokhara a tourism capital with an announcement to transform the financial landscape of Pokhara Regional International Airport amidst a programme held in Pokhara on Sunday. Addressing the inaugural event, the PM expressed optimism about the potential for regular international flights from Pokhara Regional International Airport. He also revealed that discussions with neighbouring countries to facilitate this endeavour were underway. He also said that he was working to convert the loans taken to build the regional airport into grants. However, the PM may not be able to turn his words into actions. Because it has been months since both Pokhara and Gautam Buddha Airport were built in Chinese loans in Bhairahawa have remained non-operation because of non-cooperation from India in some technical aspects. Yet, Prime Minister Prachanda reaffirmed his commitment to initiating commercial flights from international airlines at Pokhara Regional International Airport. "The government is fully committed to enhancing cultural and economic development in Pokhara. This includes optimizing the Korola-Triveni border crossing, which serves as a gateway to the sacred religious site Muktinath.
