Kathmandu, March 20: Russian Ambassador Aleksei Novikov paid a courtesy call to Finance Minister Barshman Pun at the Finance Ministry in Singhadurwar today.  During the meeting, Minister Pun asked the Russian envoy for Russian investment in mega hydropower projects and chemical fertilizer factories in Nepal. “We have ensured the international electricity market. Nepal's hydropower sector is a suitable sector for international investors," said Minister Pun. The Minister mentioned that Russia is the world's largest producer of fertilizer raw materials, saying that the government has adopted a policy of opening chemical fertilizer factories in the country.  He said that if Russia is willing to open a fertilizer factory, Nepal is ready to create an environment.
