Kathmandu, January 11: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal said that India has reservations about importing electricity produced under the Chinese investment. PM Dahal, addressing the Parliamentarian Committee for Justice and Human Rights on Wednesday, said that India has not imported electricity produced under the Chinese investment. PM Dahal, so far, informed the Committee that the government led by him has openly discussed bilateral issues keeping the nation’s interests on the frontline. Dahal informed that the Pancheshwar Project has reached the phase of implementation. The PM also informed that India is even reluctant to import electricity produced from the projects constructed by Chinese contractors. Independent experts believe that India wants to discourage Chinese investment and involvement in Nepal.   To note, India has performed non-cooperation for the operation of the two international airports – Pokhara and Bhairahawa – as both were constructed through Chinese involvement.  People’s News Monitoring Service.
