BABBLES
By Babbler
In a democracy, political ideologies, philosophies and principles are given priority and political parties function as per their guiding principles. In Nepal, sometimes, we see an alliance between the democratic parties and the leftists, sometimes, among the communists who are for federalism, secularism and republicanism and those who are for a Hindu kingdom without federal structure. The present seven-party alliance include those who performed the role of declaring Nepal a secular, federal republic and those who want to restore the Hindu monarchy and remove the federal structure. Besides, those, who were for splitting Nepal are also included in the alliance government. By seeing all these anomalies, we believe, loktantra is a political system to form the government by developing a syndicate and organising daylight loot. No matter, which party believes in what political ideology!
Unlucky guys
Until Sunday morning, many leaders were dreaming about becoming the prime minister, minister, president, speaker, etc. Suddenly, the political course was changed. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was expecting to continue the post for the next term after missing the deadline for forming a coalition government given by the President. The deadline was going to expire by 5 pm Sunday. Then onward, the President should have asked the largest party to form a government. Automatically, Deuba was going to get a chance to form the government under his premiership. Deuba was thinking about whom to assign the president, and speaker and forming provincial governments. Alas, his dream was disrupted.
Ramchandra Poudel was dreaming about becoming the president. He, by forgetting all the past enmity with Deuba, had supported the latter in the parliamentary party election with the hope of becoming the president.
Madhav Nepal was thinking about becoming the prime minister at least for one year. Jhalanath Khanal was eying on the president’s post.
Unfortunately, their dreams didn’t come true after arch-rivals K.P. Oli and Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda joined hands and developed an alliance to run the government under the leadership of Prachanda.
Course correction?
For the first time, this Babbler saw Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda in Daura-Surwal, a Nepali national dress, which was discarded by the Maoist supremo Pushpakamal Dahal earlier.
However, during his third innings as the Prime Minister, he appeared in the Nepali national dress, which indicates a big change in him.
Let's hope, he would realize that he is a Nepali and feel pride for being a Nepali and contribute to the restoration of Nepali civilization by giving up his loyalty towards foreign powers!
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
*A balanced academic analysis of the 'coup' on Pous 1 from the immediate political/geopolitical perspective is essential. However, I am clear about one thing - those who curse King Mahendra, and worship Marx and Mao will never build this country.

- 1 hectare (1.5 bigaha/19.65 ropani) has 10,000 square meters, even if you plant 1 papaya plant in 2 square meters, you can plant 5,000 fruits! If 100 kgs of papaya grow from 1 plant, it grows 500,000 kg, if it is sold at Rs 50 per kg, the income is up to Rs 2 crore 50 lakh.
Why should we import papaya from the foreign market?

- It is shameful to talk about the Congresses who were unable to throw away Rana's son-in-law but claimed for the end of Rana's rule; it is shameful to talk about those Maoists who were unable to throw away a priest in the Pashupatinath Temple claiming for ending the kingship; it is shameful to talk about Oli who was unable to return the land of Lalita Niwas, will bring back the Kalapani territory.

- A friend from London said that Bishnu Gurung of Nepali origin drives a bus in London. He became mayor there. However, he did not stop driving the bus. He drives the bus in the morning. Reaches his office at one O'clock.
He doesn’t use government cars and goes to his office in his car. The environment in Nepal has deteriorated, otherwise, the Nepalese are not naturally deteriorated.

- The Electricity Authority has today imported 240 MW of electricity by paying up to Rs 19.20 per unit. This is just the beginning. How long can the authorities sustain from buying electricity at above 19 rupees and selling it at 8 rupees? Is he Kulman or “Kulanghar”?

- There will be the election for one time but the prime minister's post is being shared by two or three persons turn by turn like they are sharing a piece of banana. Do you call such a system 'democracy' or 'banana democracy'?

- We are living in one of the most corrupt and immoral societies in the world. But our society was not like this in the beginning. The distorted leftism that entered the country in 1990 made two negative contributions. This has brought brokering into the economy and cultural ejaculation in society.

- We can say with certainty that King Mahendra showed great courage and brought us out of the poverty of the middle ages era, which is a unique chapter in the history of Nepal.
