
Kathmandu, 22 December: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) president Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected the leader of the NC parliamentary party (PP). Deuba was elected after defeated his competitor, party general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, in the election held for the post of the party's parliamentary party leader on Wednesday. A total 89 votes were cast and Deuba garnered 64 and general secretary Thapa 25. This is the sixth-time that Deuba has been elected the PP leader.
