Kathmandu, 13 December: Thirteen former Inspector Generals (IGPs) of Nepal Police have objected to the ordinance brought by the government to withdraw the cases of persons who have been convicted by the court and who are under trial. The Ex-Nepal Police Organization Forum of former inspectors-general  has opposed the ordinance institutionally. A meeting of the Ex-Nepal Police Organization Forum held at the residence of former Inspector General Shyambhakta Thapa this afternoon, expressed strong opposition to the ordinance. They have also demanded that the ordinance be repealed saying that it is against the essence and spirit of the democratic system. People's News Monitoring Service
