
Kathmandu, 8 December: India has agreed to return the flow of Mahakali to its original state. The Indian side agreed to return the flow of the Mahakali river to its original condition at the Nepal-India border security meeting held at Dharchula of India, according to the Chief District Officer of Darchula, Dirgharaj Upadhyaya.
India had built a temporary dam to divert the flow of the Mahakali river towards Nepal. He said that India agreed to remove the temporary dam. It has also been agreed that engineers of both the countries will monitor the dam at regular intervals.
