
Kathmandu, 2 December: Janmat Party President CK Raut had a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. According to Baluwatar sources, Raut expressed his desire to join the upcoming coalition government and agreed to it. In the current general election, Raut's party won one seat in the federal parliament, six in Madhesh Province Assembly and one seat in Lumbini. Raut demanded to assign him the portfolio of Agriculture or Ministry of Industry. Vice President of Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka and former Vice President Bimalendar Nidhi were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Raut also met with CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's residence in Khumaltar on Thursday evening.
