Kathmandu, 19 November: Preparations have been made for the calibration (mechanical test) before the operation of Pokhara International Airport. A Thai company's aircraft arrived in Pokhara on Saturday morning for conducting calibration flights there. Pokhara Airport Project Chief Binesh Munkarmi informed that preparations for the calibration flight have been completed. The calibration flights are scheduled to take place from Monday, 21 November. The calibration flights will be operated from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm for several days, Anup Joshi, member secretary of the airport operation task force, said.  He also said that experts are checking the equipment required for the calibration flight. Regular flights will be affected during calibration flights. The calibration flight is being conducted to prove that the airport is ready in all aspects, including technicians, before the start of regular flights. People’s News Monitoring Service
