Oli’s warning to Prachanda: Those having enmity with UML will end
Kathmandu, 14 November: Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has said that those who will have enmity with the UML will be finished.
He said that instead of implementing the election manifesto by the political parties in the ruling alliance, they have brought it to deceive the people. Addressing the election assembly in Chitwan today, Oli said that since the parties in the coalition brought different manifestos, they are unable to implement them.
They are unable to bring a common manifesto for working together, they are just for deceiving the voters, said Oli.
They are saying that even after the election, the alliance will continue. In practice, NC has issued one manifesto, Maoist another. Madhav Nepal and LSP have another separate manifesto. One says it is a republic, the other says it is not. There is a fight over that, said Oli, a former prime minister.
He claimed that UML brought the Melamchi water, saying that UML has promoted the goal of building a country.
He also questioned whether democracy is to hit another person's head with a beer bottle! Calling the coalition a broken bone, he said it has become a curse for the country. The plan to cut the budget for building hospitals, schools and roads cannot be a democratic practice, he said.
There is no money in banks. The interest rate has skyrocketed, Oli said.
“Today, you can't even get a smart mobile set and a luxury car in the market. This has probably never been heard before in Nepal”, Oli said.
