
Kathmandu, 14 November: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)has received approval for the export of 45 megawatts of electricity to India. NEA Spokesperson Suresh Bhattarai informed that the Central Electricity Authority under the Ministry of Electricity of the Government of India has given approval to the NEA for the export of more electricity.
Spokesperson Bhattarai said that with the onset of winter, the production has started to decrease and the domestic demand has increased. " With the latest approval, the NEA will be able to export about 410 MW of electricity to India.," he said.
