If we go through the election manifestos of the political parties, it seems that Nepal will become an economically prosperous nation within the next five years. The political parties have presented such a beautiful picture of the country that if they will come to the power again, they will transform the nation into a highly developed country. Not odd, again, the very ugly faces – either Sher Bahadur Deuba or Pushpakamal Dahal or K.P. Sharma Oli – are going to assume the office of the prime minister for the next term. We have already experienced their performance and delivery to the nation.
They are aware that they are unpopular among the people, however, they want to grasp the power at any cost. Therefore, they have developed syndicates for enjoying power through a bhagbanda (power-sharing) again.
They are shameless creatures and are not ashamed of what they had committed in the previous elections. If we see the political manifestos of the political parties unveiled during the 2017 general elections, not even 10 per cent of their commitments have been fulfilled. Even knowing this fact, they are shamelessly unveiling a series of commitments as if they will transform this nation into a haven if they come to the power again.
If they are seriously committed to their party manifestos, it needs a huge amount of investment. Where they manage funds, they have not mentioned. When the government is unable to manage necessary general sector expenditure from the nation’s treasure, from where the political parties bring money for such huge infrastructural investments, one cannot believe it.
The voters seem to be the sheep and the political leaders are performing like the cunning wolf. Again and again, wolfs are cheating the sheep. If we, the voters, will continue to perform like sheep, surely, we cannot change the country, instead, we will be allowing those thugs and foreigners’ slaves to exploit the country further.
The election is going to take place on 20 November, just in 10 days, and the political leaders are in a race of distributing sweet dreams to the voters. Nevertheless, voters believe, they are no more than the cheaters and thugs, even though, the voters are helpless as those cheaters and thugs have developed syndicates just to loot the nation through a bhagbanda.
