
Kathmandu, 6 November: As elections to the House of Representative and Province Assembly approach, the government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 2.5 million to former president Dr. Ramvaran Yadav. A meeting of the Cabinet held on October 20 decided to provide financial assistance to Yadav for his treatment.
Yadav was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015. As a sitting President, he went to the United States for treatment at the expance of tax payers money. After returning from there, he has been regularly visiting PGIAMER Hospital in Chandigarh, India. The former VIP, despite being able to afford treatment on his own, has been exploiting state treasury where needy people are deprived from such assistance.
