BABBLES

When Rishi Sunak was elected the prime minister of the United Kingdom, a section of the Nepali population serving the vested Indian interests was again lauded for granting Nepali citizenship with all the rights to the migrated Indians.
A section of the Nepali people, who are more Indian than the Indians, may not know that Rishi Sunak is a British citizen by birth and he is a responsible British citizen who looks after British interests. He is not like the Nepalis who go to the Nepal-India border points and chant slogans urging India for imposing an economic blockade on Nepal. He is not like the leaders of the Madheshi parties who stage a strike on the Nepal-India Friendship Bridge demanding India for imposing an economic blockade on Nepal. Not to forget, Sunak, so far, will look after the benefits of London, not India or Pakistan or Asia.
Free visa, free ticket
We know, Dr Arzu Deuba, spouse of ‘incapable” Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, is an ambitious lady who is seeking a role to lead the Nepali Congress and also become the prime minister of Nepal. She has developed good contact with the Indo-West lobby after she felt that foreign support is necessary for becoming an established leader in Nepal. She has gotten this lesson not from others but from her own husband Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The present-day “established” leaders have felt that if they keep Nepali youths within the country, those youths may create many problems for them. Therefore, either it is Arju or Madhav Nepal, they have planned for managing free visas and free tickets for the youths going to foreign countries.
How powerful is Oli?
The leaders of the five-party alliance cannot start and end their election speech without pronouncing and denouncing UML chair KP Oli.
They say, the electoral alliance has been developed for sidelining Oli, a regressive element, who is a serious threat to the present constitution and loktantra.
We know, the present rulling five-party alliance is aimed at sharing power in the government. Besides, supreme leaders of the two big parties NC and Maoist Center wish to become the prime minister turn by turn. Otherwise, they don’t have any agenda to benefit the nation and the voters.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
- Britain has over 60 million people and the major parties have 160/70 thousand members. Nepal has a population of 30 million and the major parties boast of having 8/9 million members. In a country where every citizen does politics, the condition of that country is like ours. Let's change both politics and the country.
Rabindra Mishra
- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who became the minister after India's independence, wanted to merge Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal into India.
The current power in India is in the hands of the BJP, which has a clear policy of implementing the Patel Doctrine.
RSS is working with a plan to build Akhand Bharat within 15 years.
Saral Suman
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee of BJP was the prime minister when King Birendra died. This was a great success for India in establishing the republic. Another success was using Maoists in the so-called people's war. The existence of Nepal will be strengthened only by the establishment of the monarchy, the country will become independent from the current path.
Roshan Sibakoti
- The Sugauli treaty was endorsed at a time when the rullers had become weak in Nepal. At that time, a huge portion of Nepali territory was lost. Even today encroachment continues in many places including Lipulek, Kalapani and Susta. Unfortunately, there is no election agenda of the political parties to bring back these lost territories!
Prof Dr Jageshwor Gautam
- Teacher: What is offensive and what is regressive?
Student: Worshiping buffalo is offensive and worshipping cow is regressive!
Keshav P. Bhattarai
- Question: Why isn't EVM (Electric Voting Machine), a modern device used in many countries of the world, not being used in Nepal?
Answer: Because chances of stealing ballots, changing boxes, tearing ballot papers and many other types of fraud are not possible.
Madhav Acharya
- There are about 52,000 NGOs/INGOs in Nepal which is 69 per local level, 675 per district and 1 per 561 people but only 31,200 are in Kathmandu Valley.
There is no example of progressing a nation anywhere in the world with more NGOs/INGOs making progress.
Tej Prakash Dikchit
- Big leaders who have been in charge of this country many times and have not made any contribution and failed the test many times should be stopped in this year's election. If that is not done, the next 5 years will be very scary for Nepal.
