Last week, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China concluded in Beijing consolidating and strengthening the core position of Xi Jinping. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has achieved steady progress because the Communist Party of China (CPC) has stayed true to its original aspiration. This “original aspiration” is to serve the people.
The US also has its “original aspiration”, which is to serve the capital. What is the future of capitalism? In this regard, outstanding figures such as Marx and other eminent figures have already made scientific conclusions. Today, let's look at the US, where partisan struggles are at stake, industries are hollowed out, financial crises occur frequently and cannot survive without pulling off the world's wool. This explains Marx's historical foresight.
Accordingly, MCC is by no means here for the welfare of the Nepalese people. However packaged, the MCC is here to maintain the supremacy of the dollar. If any country does not accept the dollar's hegemony, the US will unleash various MCCs, large and small, to constrain that country. Compared to the series of terrorist activities carried out by the US such as waging war, subverting other governments and blowing up Nord Stream II, the MCC arranged for Nepal is a small case scenario.
Thanks to the western-style regime adopted by Nepal, the US successfully forced and approved the MCC in Nepal. Interestingly, Nepal has a standard western-style political system despite its national conditions being far from those of western countries. Since the Americans are the master and mentor of the western regime, they are capable of playing politics in Nepal better than our own politicians can engage in politics of Nepal. Governments in Nepal are a dime a dozen – here today, gone tomorrow, and I can’t even remember if anyone ever served a full term.
After the restoration of multi-party democracy in 1990, we have had 29 governments in the past 31 years making us hostage to petty politics and prohibiting any significant developmental progress. Without political stability and a mature government, we the so-called democratic people find ourselves bewildered and pricked by strange fears. When political parties have no “original aspiration” or have forgotten one, it results in infighting between the political parties for the political leadership and not for the upliftment of the country.
Soon, we will witness a game between two “original aspirations” in Nepal. One is the “original aspiration” of the US to serve capital, and the other is the “original aspiration” of the Communist Party of China to serve the people. The “original aspiration” of the US played the MCC card while the Chinese Communist Party played the China-Nepal Railway card. Moreover, our own ruling party, because it has no “original aspiration”, can only act as an opportunistic naïve bystander.
