Once again, the official media particularly the electronic was shamelessly used for partisan ends.
That was specially clear on Sunday night when Radio Nepal reported not only that Girija Prasad Koirala had become the new leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party but subtly suggested that Koirala would become the new Prime Minister as well.
While such an interpretation by the pro-Congress media could be shrugged off as inevitable, media observers were as shocked to note that not a word was reported about the vital political consolations between the RPP and the UML on that very day.
