Kathmandu, 28 August: Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital management has decided to take action against neurosurgeon Dr Rajib Shah on the charge of violating the discipline of the hospital and disobeying the management, said a hospital source.  Earlier, he was asked for clarification by the management and his reply was not satisfactory, therefore, the hospital management has decided to take action against him from the upcoming meeting, it is said.  Professor Dr Bishnudatta Poudel, executive director of the Hospital had asked for a written clarification for the third time from Dr Shah. He was alleged for delayed attendance at the hospital and stayed on leave without informing the management, which directly affected the patients. Also, he was alleged for performing negative behaviour against the hospital.  In the final clarification asked by the management, it was also stated for terminating from the job with the condition of not being able to work in any government offices in future.  According to the hospital source, Dr Shah is not attending the hospital on time but leaving the hospital early without completing his assignments.  Also, he is hardly conducting one operation in a month, the source said.  When he felt that the management really intended to terminate him, he is knocking on the doors of the leaders of the Tarai-centric parties for saving him from the action.  He is also alleged for publishing false news against the management officials.
