Parliamentary committee calls CJ Rana for interrogation on 31 August
Kathmandu, 25 August: The Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the House of Representatives will interrogate the suspended chief justice of the Supreme Court, Cholendra Shumsher Rana on 31 August.
The Committee meeting held on 24 August decided to call Rana for interrogation on 31 August.
The ruling party lacks the necessary majority to endorse the impeachment case against Rana, therefore, the case was not brought into discussion for months after the registration of impeachment case against Rana.
The ruling alliance intended to suspend Rana and assign another but favourable acting chief justice to the Supreme Court.
