Kathmandu, 14 August: Forty political parties have registered themselves for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA) member elections, as of Saturday afternoon Nationally recognized CPN (UML), Loktantantrik Samajbadi Party (LOSP), CPN (Unified Socialist) and other parties have registered themselves for the purpose of participating in the upcoming elections, according to the Election Commission. The commission had called for party registration from August 7-16 to participate in the election for the first-past-the-post system and proportional election system for members of the HoR and the PA.
