RPP for total proportional parliament, directly elected prime minister
Kathmandu, 24 July: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has put forward the agenda of a totally proportional parliament and directly elected prime minister.
The central working committee meeting of the party held from 21 to 23 July in Kathmandu has decided to put forward such a concept for ending the existing anomalies in the electoral system which has become very expensive.
Addressing a press conference, party chairman Rajendra Lingden informed that the party wants restoration of the institution of monarchy as the guardian of the nation and scrapping the federal structure.
For holding an impartial election, the party has demanded the constitution of an election government.
The party has made a serious objection against the government for not informing the US government about the rejection of the American grant programme under the SPP.
