Kathmandu, 24 July: Police  have raided a call center located in Tilottama Municipality-2 of Rupandehi and arrested 150 people on charges of swindling local folks . According to Thag Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of the Area Police Office, Butwal, the police arrested them on the charge of operating illegal activities from the call center. Police increased vigilance after finding evidence that they had illegally sent messages to the public from the call center and 'trapped' them. They have also been accused of blackmailing the common people by running the office.They were arrested after police investigation found that he had sent messages to the common people from 300 computers by renting three flats in a four-storey house in the east of Janki Nagar. It has come to light that Indian citizens have also invested in it. From the preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that the office  sent obscene messages on WhatsApp and Facebook of common people and cheated as they had won huge amount in lottery.
