
Kathmandu, 21 July: After the government decided not to proceed with America's strategic State Partnership Programme (SPP), the United States has shown reluctance to host Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to Washington, DC on a bilateral visit.
Prime Minister Deuba is leaving for New York on September 18 to participate in the 77th United Nations General Assembly(UNGA), according to an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The UN Division at the Ministry has initiated preliminary preparation for Deuba's visit. However, Sewa Lamsal, Spokesperson at the Ministry informed that the Foreign Ministry was working for a high-level participation from Nepal.
