Kathmandu, 15 July: The leaders of Nepali Congress have demanded that Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari, who is a member of UML department, should resign immediately on the basis of morality. Speaking at the central working committee meeting on Thursday, former vice chairman Gopalman Shrestha said that the governor of the opposition party will not help to raise the weak economy of the country.
After it was revealed that the governor Adhikari was working under a pseudonym of M Adhikari as a member of the financial department of the CPN-UML, Congress leaders demanded his resignation.
Central member Ramhari Khatiwada challenged the UML to publish the identity card with photo of M Adhikari if the Governor Adhikari was not a member of the party's department as claimed by UML.
