Kathmandu, 11 July: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he expects grant assistance from China for infrastructure development of Nepal. He made the remarks during a meeting with visiting Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Foreign Department Chief Liu Jianchao on Sunday. "Our foreign exchange reserves are declining, economic crisis may come in the future. We want grant assistance to prevent such a situation. We want grants from China, not loans, for our infrastructure development," Deuba is quoted as requesting to the Chinese dignitary. Chinese leader Liu said that China  was ready to provide Rs 56 billion to Nepal immediately, as pledged by President Xi during his last Nepal visit. The process of receiving the grant  will move forward after Nepal informs China on which project it will spend the money. People's News Monitoring Service
