
Kathmandu, 9 July: Following the parliamentary ratification of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), relations between the United States and Nepal has thawed opening more avenues for furthering bilateral bond of affinity subsisting for almost seven-and a-half- decade.
Nepali Ambassador to the United States professor Shreedhar Khatri, assuming charge as the envoy in Washington has been able to renew contacts with the Pentagon, the State Department and USAID and apprise Nepal's staunch friendship with the US, pursuance of non-aligned foreign policy, as enshrined in the Constitution of Nepal. In an interview with 'This Is America and the World, Ambassador Khatri said that Nepal had benefited from its geopolitical position as India and China were two great economies moving forward to become a world power.
During his recent meetings with the officials at the Pentagon, the State Department and USAID, he voiced strongly for Nepal's development and her non-aligned policy with any nations across the world.
