
Kathmandu, 27 June: After completing an observation tour of Nepali peacekeepers in Lebanon and Syria, the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhuram Sharma is reaching in the United States on Monday He went to the United States at the official invitation of the US military. During the visit, Sharma is scheduled to visit not only Washington DC but also the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York. There, he will discuss with senior UN officials the contribution of the Nepal Army to world peace, the current challenges, and future plans.
The Chiefs of Army Staff of Nepal have been visiting the United States once in their tenure. Army spokesperson Narayan Silwal considers Sharma’s visit to be a continuation of that as a part of goodwill visit.
