
Kathmandu, 19 June: Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolis City, Balendra Shah, presented the Policy and Programmes of the City for the new fiscal year 2022/23 under his leadership.
Mayor Shah has planned for branding the Newar community’s drink “Aila" internationally by legalizing it.
Shah said that the tax collection office of the City will remain open on Saturday also.
He announced the “Mayor with people” programme to be held every month on one Sunday, where, he will directly interact with the people.
Home Stay service will be introduced in Kathmandu.
Private schools should pay a certain percentage of their profit to the City, from which, the community and government schools will be funded.
Locals who classify and separate garbage will get special compensation.
An underground parking area will be developed near the open theatre.
Bagdurwar, the headquarters of the Metropolis City will be rectified instead of demolishing the building.
Ponds will be constructed in different places to recharge groundwater.
A study will be conducted for the operation of the Metro Rail.
