Kathmandu, 17 June: Minister for Culture, Civil Aviation and Tourism Prem Ale is performing inhuman behaviour and organizing daylight loot in organs under his ministry. The Annapurna Post daily has published a first page reporting that he has used dirty words and manhandled Nepal Airlines’ executive chairman Ubraj Adhikari by calling the chairman at his chamber in the Ministry. Minister Ale had given an order to chairman Adhikari to recruit some people in the Airlines and when Adhikari tried to avoid the Minister’s instruction, he called the Nepal Airlines chairman at his chamber in the Ministry and manhandled him using very dirty words. This is an example that how the ministers are behaving officers under their ministries. Even the house owner is not allowed to manhandle a house servant, but the minister has behaved the senior-most officer in the Airlines as more than a personal servant. Until now, neither the Prime Minister, not the minister’s concerned party nor the Police has taken action against such an inhuman minister who is demonstrating a gonad-raj. To note, Nepal Airlines is already burdened with heavy staffing and facing serious financial loss. The minister is not concerned about operating the Airlines in profit but intended to squeeze the Airlines further just for personal gains. Meanwhile, in another report, the Minister, with the plan of making financial gains, has appointed his nephew Mahendra Bahadur Thapa as the secretary-general of the Taragaun Development Committee. His party, CPN US had recommended Narad Luitel for the post of secretary-general of the Committee. The minister bargained with Luitel for providing money to him. When Luitel denied serving the minister’s interests, the minister developed an environment to oust him and then appointed his nephew Thapa to that post. When such a corrupt minister is organizing a daylight loot, the government and concerned anti-corruption organs have become a silent spectators. People's News Monitoring Service
