
Kathmandu, 10 June: The CG Motors belonging to the Chaudhari Group has introduced a new Chinese brand e-vehicle in Nepal.
The e-vehicle manufactured by Hozon Auto , a Chinese company, has fallen into controversy on its price.
The CG Motors has fixed its price at 3.8 million rupees for Nepal, which is available in the Chinese market at just 1.3 million rupees. Regarding the price in the local market, a large number of people have criticized the CG Motors for taking a huge amount of profit margin. Locals, through the social networks, have denounced the local agent for taking excessive amount as profit and cheating consumers.

According to an auto dealer, the transportation and other costs for importing a car from China, which is available at 1.3 million rupees there, will be only around 1.7 million rupees by including 120 thousand rupees for transportation cost, 71 thousand rupees for ID and 138 thousand rupees as VAT, for which, CG Motors is charging 3.8 million rupees.
