Kathmandu, 27 May: Corruption cases have been filed against the then Chief Administrative Officers of Godavari Municipality, Kailali, Khemraj Bista and Devraj Joshi and seven others, including engineers and sub-engineers. In the on-site inspection of the amount paid on 13 road contracts performed by various construction businessmen, the authority has stated that the construction work was carried out against the set standard conditions and criteria. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has stated that Chief Administrative Officers Bista and Joshi have entered into the jurisdiction of the technicians and agreed on the measurement book of wrong and substandard work and have been involved in siphoning off  huge amount from the state coffer.
