
Kathmandu, 9 May: A Russian national has died in the first camp on Saturday evening during a climbing exercise for Everest. According to Taranath Adhikari, Director General at the Department of Tourism, 55-year-old Russian citizen Pavel Kostrykin, who was returning to the first camp at 6,000 meters from the second camp at an altitude of 6,400 meters, died during the exercise. Four people, including a Nepali have died while climbing the highest peak of the world this spring.
