Kathmandu, 5 May: Global IME Bank and the Alternative Energy Promotion Center have signed a loan agreement for the development of several solar mini-grid projects. According to the agreement, the Center will provide funds to the bank for the project’s implementation under the subsidiary loan agreement signed between the government and the Center for Alternative Energy Promotion in connection with the private sector-led mini-grid energy access project. Global IME Bank will provide the funds as  loan for the construction and connection of the 100 KW Power Solar Mini-Grid Project, as well as the distribution of electricity. The loan agreement was signed on Wednesday by Ratna Raj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank Limited, and Dr. Madhusudhan Adhikari, Executive Director of Alternative Energy Promotion Center, according to a press release issued by the bank.
